Texas Juvenile Justice Department

It is with great pleasure that I write a letter of support for Piper Kiser, LPC.

Piper Kiser began contracting with the Terry County Juvenile Probation Department in 2009 and worked with our department for over a year until she and her family relocated to the Dallas area. Piper provided individual counseling as well as group counseling to all of the juveniles that our department referred to her. She counseled our juveniles on diverse issues including but not limited to peer pressure, family issues/relations, anger management, self esteem, school issues and making more positive choices regarding behavior. The juveniles who Piper counseled through the department ranged from being on deferred adjudication to court ordered probation with various legal charges.

As chief juvenile probation officer I always heard positive feedback from our juveniles when asked about counseling with Piper. She consistently did a great job in making our kids feel comfortable and accepted and not feel as if they were being judged. Piper continually went above and beyond in working with our children. Although she had her private practice in Lubbock (a town approximately 40 miles away) she made sure to schedule seeing our kids when it was convenient for our department and with the schools which the children attended.

As soon as Piper found out that she and her family were relocating she informed our department so that we would have plenty of time to try to find another counselor. We were very sad to learn of her leaving and knew that it would be difficult to find a counselor who could connect with our kids as easily as Piper did. Piper gave us several referrals of other counselors and arranged for us to meet with the counselor who currently contracts with our department. As a matter of fact, Piper would travel between Dallas and Lubbock to finish seeing our kids until the new counselor was able to begin working with our department.

I feel Piper Kiser would be an immense benefit to anyone seeking counseling services.

Sincerely,

Karina Stults

Chief Juvenile Probation Officer

Terry County Juvenile Probation

BOARD CERTIFIED – OBGYN

January 9, 2011

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Piper Kiser. I have known Mrs. Kiser as a friend for over eight years and have worked professionally with her for the past three years. I am an OB/GYN in private practice in Lubbock, Texas and have been fortunate to have shared with her in the care of patients.

Piper started her counseling career with an established practice in Lubbock. After two years, and with encouragement from her peers, she started her own private practice. She quickly established a busy schedule because of a strong work ethic. I exclusively referred all my patients to her while she was in private practice. I always appreciated her willingness to see my troubled patients in timely manner. My patients were always extremely pleased with Piper’s care. Her compassion, experience, and dedication proved tremendously beneficial to those in need of counseling. In fact, Piper would provide a patient’s first session free of charge.

As a licensed counselor, Piper has excellent rapport with patients and peers alike. Her kindness and sincerity will truly be missed in Lubbock. She will be a tremendous asset in any professional counseling setting she chooses.

I wish her the best of luck with all future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Douglas A. Lampkin, M.D.
