When you come to me for help, we work as a team.

I believe each individual brings his or her own uniqueness to therapy. Each person also brings unique challenges, life situations, experiences and, most importantly, personal strengths. In the therapy process, each person will work to clarify a personal truth. In therapy you will build on your unique gifts. You will gain insight and an understanding of yourself and of those with whom you interact.

I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual. In my psychotherapy practice, I strive to make sure I provide a safe and nurturing environment. I provide a place where each person can be heard and validated. I talk openly about the personal goals and therapy approach I will use. I encourage confrontation and input as useful tools for each client. Therapy is not a quick fix. The timeline for the therapeutic process is based on each individual’s particular needs.

 

Choosing the Right Therapist for You:

  • It is well documented that therapy only works well when an individual feels heard, understood, validated and cared for by the therapist.
  • It is important that you and your therapist are on the same page working toward goals you agree upon and that are meaningful to you. There are many therapists in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
  • It is helpful to find a therapist who is best able to respond to your particular therapeutic needs.
